With all the uncertainty that exists through the plethora of differing beliefs and opinions, we can be very thankful that God has given us a sure word from heaven. As uncomfortable as it may be to hear, the bible's testimony to each of us is that we have sinned against God. Not only does it tell us that we have sinned, but it tells us with all certainty that there will be a day when we will have to stand before God to be judged by Him.

The good news is that God sent His Son into the world to be the Savior of sinners. Through His death on the cross, Jesus made atonement for all who trust in Him. That is, He died in their place as their substitute so that their sins would be remitted. But that's not all, Jesus was also raised from the dead by the power of God to rule and judge the world.

Now all who come to Christ in repentance and trust in Him for salvation can be assured, that when they stand to be judged they will escape condemnation, having been cleansed by His sacrifice on the cross  and therefore welcomed into His eternal joy.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. - John 3:16

For the person who realizes they have sinned against God this is good news indeed. Through faith they can come to Jesus Christ for mercy and by Him be completely pardoned.
